My Word "new blank document" isn't

Somehow I've replaced my "new blank document" with an e-mail page I saved to
"my documents" (after much difficulty). Can anyone help me regain that
lovely blank page? I was using Office 2000 pro, when it happened; I'm using
Office 2003 student & teacher, now. I hoped updating would reformat the page
- it didn't.
