okay... well im guessing it's not a trial version... i bought the retarded
computer... and my product key doesnt work. the one on the bottom of my

You need to go back to the vendor. My guess is that they have probably bulk
installed on multiple drives and then fitted them into computers. They
didn't do it correctly so that the product keys are all wrong, except for
the original computer they cloned.

If Office came installed on the computer and you didn't explicitly pay extra
for it, it is almost certainly the trial version, which is very difficult to
avoid having installed on a new computer these days.

I donloaded the trail just a fe minutes ago from

and I'm having the same problem. I guess i need to remove it and find

I also have a trial version on my new computer. It expires 3/31/10. It
worked fine for a few days, now I'm getting the message everyone has -
selection locked. I was going to buy the actual version, now I'm not so
sure. Has anyone had any luck unlocking this? I've tried to find a place to
e-mail Microsoft direct, but no luck. Will keep checking these posts.

If you are sure the trial hasn't expired, have you Activated it? You can
only use Word 50 times without activation before it goes into limited
functionality. However, it sounds more like the trial has expired.

Did you activate Word? Are you sure the trial hasn't expired (in which case
you will have to buy the full version)?
