MyODBC

I am trying to connect to an external db using FP 2003. When I try to select
the MyODBC DRIVER using the database connection wizzard it does not show up
on the drop down list under "Select database driver". How do I get FP to
recognize this driver, I have installed MyODBC-3.51.11-2-win.

Thank you Kevin for the reply.
I had looked previously at your blog before, set things properly, yet when I
open FP 2003, setup a new page and then insert a "results" Db the MyODBC
driver does not appear in the field option "Select Databae Driver". The only
possible selectable options are "SQL Server" and "Microsoft ODBC for Oracle".
When I go to control panel, Administrative tools, Data sources(ODBC) I see
that MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver is properly installed. I then select it and
configure it properly, saving the settings. However, I am still unable to
select that drver using the FP results wizard.
How do I enable FP to recognize and then give me the option of selecting the
correct db driver?
Thanks for your patience.

That I don't know. I haven't used ODBC for many years now, nor the FrontPage
Database wizards. I'm not sure how the wizards get the ODBC drivers
installed; I would suspect from the System Registry. I suppose you could
create your own Connection String. An ODBC Connection String is among the
simplest to write. See http://www.connectionstrings.com for help with that.
