MySQL & Access?

Hi there!

Has anyone been working with MySQL? And does Access work well with it
instead of MS SQL server?

Thanks

I haven't used the combination, but we've seen quite a few posts in various
newsgroups from people who have, and were, in varying degrees, happy with
it.

You can't create an ADP to work with MySQL, because ADPs are only for
Microsoft SQL Server. You can certainly use the traditional
Access-Jet-MyODBC-MySQL arrangement, and that has always worked well for me
using other servers, such as Informix, MS SQL Server, and Sybase SQL Server
and SQL Anywhere. I do not know if there is an ADO data provider... but
given the restriction on ADP, that would be extra, unnecessary work.
