Mysterious disapperance:graphics,tables

I have asked this questions several ways but have yet to receive a response.

Using FrontPage 2003 to build a 5-page website, I was going back to fine
tune it before publishing it on the Internet. On all pages but the index
page, when I click anywhere on the page except a graphic, all the graphics
and tables disappear. When I click back into the margin outside the page,
they reappear. Also I cannot get the cursor to appear anywhere on the page
except when I click directly on a graphic. Then I can see the graphic and
can edit it.

Can anyone out there help me?

Have you posted a link to the page/site? Which pages there do this?

Linking was a task I was leaving until last. I have not yet linked any
pages. The only page where this disappearance does not occur is the index
page.
