Mystery embedded object

I have a file that has an embedded file. I know it is there as I have seen
it, thoguht I deleted it, but now can't find it, but know it's there by the
size of the file. It is actually a .zip file. and it is attached to the
gantt chart instead of an individual task, if that is possible. I think
so...i've checked the tasks and no objects are attached. Is there anyway to
scan the file for embedded objects?

File attachments can bloat mpp files and leave the bloat long after they've
been deleted. It may very well be that you deleted the object, but Project
didn't recover the file space. In this case you need to somehow force a
binary rebuild of the project file. One way to do this is to save to XML,
and then reopen the file from the XML record. This effectively washes away
the bloat. Be aware that there are some circumstances where the XML save can
cause unexpected changes to the data, so try this first with a backup file
and verify the results.
