Mystery instal email

Hello,

When I opened up Entourage this morning, it treated me as a new user - including receiving an email from Microsoft welcoming me as part of my "Microsoft Office 2004 installation".

All my emails have gone, my address book is empty and entourage isn't downloading any messages.

When I switched off my computer last night, everything was fine - so I have no idea what's happened.

Somebody please help!

Hello,

Entourage behaves like that when there is no "Database" file present at this path "Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities/ Main Identity".

Also, I would like to tell you that, u will see the same behavior after upgrading Entourage to EWS version. (13.0.0)

I've looked at the path you mention, and the "Database" is there. Are there any other possible explanations?

The "Database" is there because Entourage created a new one when it couldn't
find the old one. You need to find the original Office 2004 Identities
folder or restore it from a valid backup.
