#N/A error??

Hope I can explain, so here goes:
I have a workbook with a spreadsheet recording scores for some 50+ players
over several months.

In the end column of each row is a formula provided in this newsgroup:
"=SUMPRODUCT(--(X4:Y4=$X$61:$Y$61))"

This works OK UNTIL I USE a conditional format "=X4=MAX(X$4:$Y59)" in the
cells above, then I get an error "#N/A"

I would like to copy accross the conditional format, to automate the
results.
I have tried various Relative/Absolute combinations until I am dizzy.

Help please.

Hi
this should not happen. Where do you enter this conditional format
function?

Hi Frank

I enter the conditional format in every cell where I would enter a score,
the conditional format then kicks in as I fill in each score down the
relative cell for that date, which produces a green background to the
highest score/s in a column.

Regards
Terry
