Nagging split screen issue MDI vs. SDI

I tried the workaround that has been posted here that helps switch
Word 2000 to MDI from SDI, but who do I get this macro to run? I can't
find any start up folder just for WORD -- only for Office. And when I
put it there, nada.

Hi, Nick,

To find your startup folder location for Word, in Word go to
Toold|Options|File Locations and look for an entry for the Startup folder.

Hope that helps--

I see the start up folder when I open Word and do what you suggest.
But then we I go find it in my c drive or in Windows Explorer, do drop
the macro in, the folder does not exist, neither does the applications
folder, which is its parent. Odd. Suggestions?

Remind me what operating system are you using...Could it be that you have
hidden the view of those folders in your operating system?

I may have. I'm using Windows 2000.
