#NAME? error with text in formula

E

Ernie Schimmelman

In Excel 2000 I've tried to use the formula: =IF(J12="Yes",WORKDAY('Start
Here'!E22,3,'Start Here'!H24:K24),"Not Applicable") and get a #NAME? error.
The Help menu indicates I've used the right syntax for WORKDAY, but does not
have a solution under #NAME? for why the error occurs. When I select Audit,
J12 is indicated as the problem. When I eliminate the IF formula portion and
use the WORKDAY formula alone, the #NAME? remains and Audit takes me to
'StartHere'!E22 as the problem.

Are you really using Excel 2000? That is a Windows version. This is a
Macintosh forum. The #Name error means that Excel does not understand an
internal name, or in this case Workday. You will need to install the
analysis tool pack. If you are actually using Excel 2008 for the Macintosh,
then check the values in the referenced cells of the Start here worksheet.
