#NAME ? ERROR

trying to open an excel sheet with a datasource pointed towards an addin
called datadirect.xla......everytime i open the excel sheet

1.) i get the warning message to update the links
2.) i see NAME# in the cells with formulas....WITHOUT THE REAL TIME VALUES
3.) activex warning message : this application is about to intialise
active x controls

I am trying to schedule this to run a report everyday and i am just not able
to ge the values on the excel sheet .

here is the formula : ='C:\Program Files\ABB Industrial IT\Inform
IT\DataDirect\Bin\ABBDataDirect.xla'!abbgetobj(A6,B6,"SETPOINT")

Have you got the addin installed and loaded when the file is opened?
