"Name" field missing from contacts list. How do I get it back.

Hi,

As you know, when you open an account there is a list of associated business
contacts there. Now, the fields should be name, job title, business phone and
email. Unfortunately, the name field is missing from my list. How do I get it
back?

I'm sure this is covered in help but I can't find it!

THanks,

Thank goodness it's not just me :)

I was editing quite a few records the day before yesterday (patching
together my imported Accounts and Business Contacts which had not been
stitched together) when I lost both the name column, and the one before it
identifying the primary contact.

Eventually both shut down Outlook (2007 trial with BCM) and my PC (XP Pro),
and restarted, then all came back. Not sure whether the machine restart was
necessary.

Anyway, looks as if there is a bug there...

This problem (bug?) relates to the resizing issue I have recently posted
about but have not gotten a reply. The name field is still there. It is
just hidden due to the minized viewing. Left click and hold your cursor on
the column line dividers and drag them to the right to reveal this field
column. Do it again to reveal the primary contact field column.

This bug is very annoying and restarting your PC is the only thing I can find
also to solve but it only last for a couple of changes and then reverts back
to this auto minimized behavior again.

I'm not sure it is just down to resizing. Today I got it again just by
adding 3 or 4 new Business Contacts to an existing Account - no resizing
involved.

Kevin,

My problem with this as stated above was also never due to my resizing of the
Contact record. This automatic re-sizing is just a symptom. All I have to
do is start to open and close a few different records and after about 3 or 4
of these actions the Contact record layout reverts to various minimized field
sizes eventhough the contact records remain set for a maximum display setting.

There has also sadly been zero reply of acknowledgement of this apparent bug.
