Name of the server in URL

Hi Fayçal,
Thanks for your answer; maybe I did not make myself clear:
What I want is that MSProject Server and PWA use the "official" SRVPSN name
for the server instead of this fake "localhost:5555".
Or did I make something wrong?

Hello,
My physical server name is: SRVPSN; why is PWA willing to use the URL:
http://localhost:5555/ProjectServer instead?
Is there a way ti force the system to accept the "official" name of the
server?
Thanks to all,
Alexandre

Hi Alexandre,

Are physically typing "http://localhost:5555/ProjectServer" in Internet
Explorer on the PWA server?

If so, then this is possible as the name "localhost" refers to the
location of the currently used system. So it would be the same as typing
"http://SRVPSN:5555/ProjectServer"

Make sense?

Hi Alexandre,

What do you get when type "http://SRVPSN:5555/ProjectServer" in IE?

Thanks all,
I should have found that "localhost" or "srvpsn" could be the same thing.
But where does "5555" or any other number like "11176" come from?
I did not see these figures when installing MS Project Server.
All the best

Alexandre,

Could it be that when you were installing Project Server, on Enter Web
Server adress informatiom page, under Intranet protocol and server name for
accessing Project Server, That you have entered http://SRVPSN:5555?
cause from hat I see this this can be the reason

Regards,
