i have searched the internet extensively for a
formula/function that will work in Excel (2002) for my
dilemma. i run a Euchre tournament weekly and i need a
formula that will ROTATE the different players so that
they will play each other. 8, 12, & 16 player rotations
are easy. 9 works great with ONE person on a bye each
round. we have trouble with anything else. is there a
way to INPUT into excel the names and number of players
(that show up) then OUTPUT a list that shows who each
person's partner is, number of rounds, and BYES (if odd
numbered)?
EXAMPLE: if i input on Sheet 1, 8 names, then the OUTPUT
would be 2 tables X 4 partners and NO BYES in 7 rounds.
(16 combinations, NO repeats)
any help would be WONDERFUL!
