Name (with presence) from a Form

What I'm hoping to do is to push a comlumn from a form into a column in the
library that has a column type of "Person or Group" and show Name (with
presence). Does anyone know of a way to do this?

Yes I do /)

You can't do it directly, as InfoPath fields promoted as columns can't
be of type Person/Group

But the article shows an easy workaround, by using the SharePoint
Designer
