When I type addresses into the TO: line, some appear like this: john
doe <[email protected]> and some appear like this:
jan doe ([email protected])
In my contacts list, the information is identically formatted for each
person. "File as" doe, john and "Display as" is ([email protected])
Why do some display in the TO: line with <> and some with ()? There is
a significant difference. If I copy and paste and address from the TO:
line into the body of the email message, ONLY the name appears if the
address is bracketed by <> : john doe. If the address is bracketed by
(), the copied address contains both the person's name AND the actual
email address: ([email protected])
I want to use only the option with ( ) bracketing the addresses, so
that they can be copied and pasted as links into messages. How can I
do this?
