I was having problems getting a link within a presenation to work.
Clicking on the "Edit Hyperlink" option in the context menu, I saw
that the title of teh slide that was linked to started with (A), the
first bit of text on that slide. I changed it from (A) to 1., and the
link started working. Also, before the change, every time I would go
into the "Edit Hyperlink" dialog, I would find that the link was set
as an external link (to another file), even if I had previously gone
in and changed it to link to another slide in the same file, and OKed
out.
Was this a sheer coincidence, or do these two things have anything to
do with each other? Does powerpoint have a problem linking to slides
that have certain titles--inside the same document? I use powerpoint
almost exclusively for working with these types of files and it would
benefit me greatly to know any particularities it has with links.
