Names of Worksheet Tabs Not Showing

HELP!!!
I am working on an Excel document with a number of worksheets. I need
to be able to switch between worksheets frequently for this project.
Suddenly, the names on the worksheet tabs do not show unless I double
click on them. What can be causing this?

I am working on an iBook G3 with Excel for X; I am on Panther 10.3.4.

Two frequent possibilities:

1) a bug in XLv.X that should be fixed by updating to version 10.1.5.
Find the updates at

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx

2) Corruption in your workbook. Copy the worksheets to a new workbook.

Lauren, I had a similar problem on the PC. It was corrected simply by
making sure the page was open to the full page view. As a new user of
an i-book, I do not know if that simple solution will work on a MAC,
but it is one more thing to try. good luck.
