Naming individual columns in a bar chart

This may be a very simple one, but I can't work it out! I have a simple bar
chart, but would like to widen each column and I need each column to have a
different name - written on the column. Is this possible?

If & How depend a great deal on your version of the program which you
neglect to mention. If it's a Mac version [this is the Mac Excel group]
you'll need to specify that as well as details about how your data is set
up. If you're using a PC version you'll find the Win Excel groups via this
link, but they'll need the same info:
