NAS header in message body

Any idea why we would see a Norton AntiSpam header in a message boy all
alone like this? This is what I was forwarded by the client.

Thanks in advance!!

The message header ends and the message body begins with the first blank
line in a message.

So there must have been a blank line before the NAS headers.

What's not clear is the origin of the message. You mention a client
forwarding a message. Is he seeing the problem and forwarding it to you
for help? Or did he happen to send you a normal message and you see
that problem when it arrives?

Is the person seeing the problem using NAS?

Looking at the Message Source (Ctrl-F3 in Outlook Express) may give a
clue as to the problem. Possibly another program (anti-virus or
anti-spam) has inserted headers just before the NAS headers and not
properly done the headers.

I've also seen the issue with people forwarding messages, including
messages sent via a mailing list, where the sending program or mailing
list relay didn't properly process the headers.

Thanks for the response!

This is a client of mine looking for help and forwarding what he got. I
appreciate the input. I'll probably tell them it's a glitch in someone's
mail list relay software and not to worry. They're just looking for an
answer...

Someone sent them an ill-formed message.
