"Nasties"

My day job is dealing with jobs

One thing I have discovered is what I call "Nasties" behind ANY profession

These are the "quickies" (not Tips) your doctor, lawyer, etc do that are
unofficial and should NOT work, certainly NOT admited to to outsiders,
blah-blah, but do work way more times than should, e.g., "Murphy's Law"

I'm new to FP and web design and am desirous to cut to the chase: as a guru
what is/are your fp/web design "Nasties"--NOT tips--you do just to
get-tha-#$%^* job done?

Please keep a "Nasty" to one line, ez to do, NO lengthy explanations, and
NOT a tip--let the User just find if it is usable more times than NOT, e.g.,

Preview with Netscape 4.7 as generic way to see if your design should work
with most browsers

Don't use shared borders. Build tables instead and use include files in
them.
