Navigate to folder/message?

Is it possible, even with some client-side script, to have a link in a
message in one public folder that takes the user to a different public
folder and highlights a specific message? I have no problem OPENING
the required message in a new window, but I'd like Outlook to navigate
there so that it is highlighted in the current instance of Outlook.
Any ideas?
