Navigating spreadsheets

When trying to navigate around spreadsheets using arrow keys, the spreadsheet moves rather than the cursor - Can anyone help in undoing this please

One possibility: What type of keyboard is it? Does it have a Scroll Lock
function? Look at the Excel Status Bar & see if the "light" is lit next to
SCRL. If so, you need to study up on your keyboard layout to determine how
to turn it off.

On my Macally iMediakey, for example Command+F14 toggles Scroll Lock on/off.
