If you put the navbar on a Master Page, then move it to the main page. Don't
use the Master Page feature in Publisher webs. It should only be used for
print documents.

I did not use a master page. i inserted it directly on page 1. it only
doesn't show during a preview and doesn't publish either. Buttons don't show
either. the only way i can get them to show is to ungroup them and lose the
wizard and assign links manually. I'm new to publisher so I may be doing
somthing stupid.

Hummm??? My second guess then is that you have corrupted the navbar somehow
and will need to build a new one, but I don't know why that would prevent
you from seeing it in web page preview.

When you say you preview the page, how are you doing that specifically?

What version of Publisher are you using?

What browser are you using as your default and what version?

i preview using the web page preview button on the web tools bar. i've tried
to publish too with no luck.

i'm usuing publisher 2003 (11.8166.8172) sp3.

i am using ie8 beta.

Don't use IE8 then. It is in beta and is having problems with Publisher
webs. Hopefully by the time it is released the issues with Publisher webs
will be fixed.
