Navigation bars and new site

I have just finished and launched my own web site at
www.provocostatusquo.com any feed back would be appreciated.

Second, I would like to put the navigation bars down the left side and can
only seem to get it along the bottom.

Third, I would like to put pages on the site that are not so graphically
intense with the theme, but cannot figure that out. It would be things like
word produced material, and such.

Fourth, what about having the links open in a New Window automatically?

For your site to look the same in all window resolutions, you've got to study
more and learn how to use Tables. Until you do that, you'll never get the
navigation bars up the side and have all the other stuff to align in the
correct order. You also have to come up with some way to reduce the graphics
on the pages so the page loads quicker. Today I'm on line at 49333 and it
took almost 95 seconds for your page to load down to the links. That is
unaceptable to a majority of surfers. 30 seconds load time getting onto the
main log in page to the site is about the maximum.

Put in text links to other pages with the graphics would be one way.

Most people don't hang around a site that keeps opening new windows with every
click of the mouse.

One last comment. What is the dog & cat contributing to your site? I find it
a negitave!
You want people to contact you, not your cat. In other words, for a business
type site, keep it Looking Business.

There always need for humour. And I want people to know I do not think like
the typical spin doctor, hence the cat and dog, and humour. If people do not
like the humour then they will not like working with me. That weeds out the
people I don't want to work with too.

The graphics do need to be slimmed down, but then I also want people to see
the creativity in my cat's mind too.

Norm,

Here's some quick recommendations, ranked by seriousness
of the problems:

- Way too many GIF/JPEG images, causing sloooooooooow load
times -- some are over 100Kb (see below)

- Navigation should be at top of screen, not at the bottom under
the fold.

- Hyperlinks are confusing, as inconsistent underlining,
use of title pictures on home page, etc.

- Font type is poor (too fuzzy on 800x640 display) and inconsistent

- Font color is inconsistent

- Some will find the pix "cethecatsign.gif" objectionable

Regards,

Michael

Is that slow on dial up and or ADSL?

My question was, I have tried to get the navigational things on the side of
the page, but cannot seem to do it. Putting them on the top would be great,
but how?

Will work on the graphics stuff, but that is alot of my business with
newsletters and things so they are there to show off some of my work. What
else could I do with them, to have them on my site for viewing but maybe not
on the front page? Thumbnails? A photoalbum type thing?

Don't care who will find the cat and dog offensive. It is a cartoon, and if
they find it offensive then they will not want to work with me, nor I with
them. I have no intention of trying to please all of the people all of the
time. Besides you have never seen my cat with a hair ball.
