Navigation Issue #2

Josh1985

I went to Dynamic Drive's website and I found a navigation I like the only
problem is they do not have a horizontal companion form of the vertical
navigation I chose. Is there a way to change a vertical navigation into a
horizontal one? the page i applied the navigation to is
"http://sl-life.awardspace.biz/index.htm" any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Don't limit your self to the std Dynamic Drive menus
Have you look at their CSS ones At
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/
There are lots of other CSS menu examples available out there
For Example
http://www.seoconsultants.com/css/menus/tutorial/
or
http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic/

Thank you for that. Now I have a new problem. On
"http://sl-life.awardspace.biz/benthamforest.htm" How can I design or get a
separator that will move with the table if the main navigation gets wider for
some reason? There will be at least one more navigation below "Main
Navigation" called "Product Lines". Also, is there a way to make the Business
Navigation Bar be tight inside that cell at the top? Any ideas?

In my opinion you are building yourself into a "box" you will never get right
You are creating a design that will have variable results in different browsers, or browser levels, by designing with a mixture of
css and fixed width table cells with fixed px widths/heights, plus inline p tags that negate your css (because the style does not
cascade into the nested p tag)
- and for a user screen width of over 1466 px - plus with cells that don't add up per row
(view your site in multiple browsers and user screen sizes)
Suggest you rethink your design and simplify it to be cross browser compliant and consistent at different screen sizes

Ok, if my design is "wrong" then what do you propose I do? I have scoured the
web looking for a design that has that kind of table structure but there is
nothing simple and structured that i can find to use i should not have to pay
a web designer just to create this simple web site. I have looked everywhere
i can think of to find something that you call "cross-browser compatible". Do
you have a design example in mind that i could or should use that would be
CSS compliant and look PROFESSIONAL? All the templates i have seen or used
are not "PROFESSIONAL"which i paramount. Most templates look like something
you would on a blog and not something you would use on a company web site. So
what do you suggest?
