Navigation Links Bar Problem in Dynamic Web Template

C

Chris

Hi,
I'm using FP2003 on XP with XP SP2 and Office SP1.
I've built a Dynamic Web Template (DWT) using Link Bars. I inserted the
Link Bars from the Insert/Navigation/'Bar With Custom Links' option. I chose
a button style from the options provided in 'Choose Button Style'.

I've attached the DWT to pages in my web.

The buttons appear and work OK in FP, both in Design and Preview views.

However when I upload the DWT and pages to my webserver, I can see where the
Link buttons should appear, the text labels appear but the coloured button
images don't appear. The links work OK.

I've tried this with several different button options, but none appear on my
webserver.

What am I doing wrong and how do I fix this/
Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
Chris

Am I correct in thinking you're using an external FTP program to publish your
site?

If so, either use FrontPage to publish your site by FTP, or make sure you
upload the hidden _derived, _overlay, and _private folders.

Thanks Jim,
Yes I have been using CuteFTP as I was originally having problems with
uploading out of FP. I'm now giving FP another go.
Please see my separate Comment Posting headed "Navigation Bar Links Problem
in DWT - Thanks" That explains why I've asked this question twice in 2
days!!!
Thank you for your help. Appreciate it.

The answer is still the same
Custom Linkbars w/ Custom Styles are only supported by FP2002/2003 on sites running or published using FP http mode to a server
running the FP 2002 SE
See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=281532

I am having exactly the same problem that Chris is having. My link bars look
great in may local copy in FP, but when I publish, the links are text links
with no button graphics. I am using FP 2003 and I do publish in http mode.

Does the remote server have the FP2002 extensions?
