Navigation Structure Issue

Josh1985

Correct me if I am wrong but in order for a themed website's page banner to
display the proper text the navigation must be in the correct order meaning
the page the navigation is on and then the linked page, and etc? Correct? If
so I have a major problem! My navigation is treating each set of navigation
links separately which to me seems to not tie into the whole global site with
the index being the parent page then all other pages below that, correct?

Here is a link to the navigation as it is right now:
"http://sl-life.awardspace.biz/currentnavstructurelayout.htm" Could someone
tell me how i can make the navigation be in the correct order? If you need to
see an example of how i want the correct layout to be write me back and i
will show you that page as well i am still working on that diagram. Any help
is greatly appreciated.

FP navigation does not allow for the use of place markers (non-page links) in the Nav View / bars
You need to create a page for all your Not a page links if you want to use FP nav bars and navigation with a theme

For the navigation you show (with Non-Pages) you need to use a DHTML menu structure
See http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/

Thank you for your response Stephan That is exactly my point; Instead of
actually showing the navigation structure of the whole website all I see for
the navigation section of the Web Site tab is the navigation menus I created.
Not one page in the navigation section of that web site tab goes in the
order of start page and branches out. I also have no idea why. All I did was
place the navigation bars where i wanted them on the pages now I can't create
the site's navigation structure with those navigation bars.
If I used "place markers" that was not my intention. I was just trying
to link the the pages the way I wanted them to appear on the pages.
Everything that says "(Not a Page)" is the name of the navigation bar I
created. If I were to add all the links under one menu I would probably have
50 links in one link bar right? I thought a navigation bar was supposed to be
easier than using interactive buttons and look better than a plain text link.
I don't get how me putting navigation bars on my pages according to the
page's them would not allow me to go back to the navigation section of the
Web Site tab and structure the sites navigation order.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think you are creating separate navigation bars, which you actually can
do, but they will be treated as separate navigation bars (duh) but like Ron
says they have to be pages if you're using FP's menus...or use something
from DynamicDrive. If you use FPs navigation and create separate nav bars
with the head link actually being a page you will be able to order them on
the page by sliding them around on the navigation view.

That is all i wanted to do. I don't know why FP made the link bars separate
in the first place. All I wanted to do was make the set of navigation links
in the left hand side of the index page and the businesses links be global
navs to appear on all pages reguardles of whether they were a business page
or not. Then on pages like the visitecgeneral.htm page, i wanted to include
the two gobal navs above just like every other page but also include 3
additions that would only apply to the viisitec business's pages. The
additions were a Subsidiaries nav section, a Product Lines nav section, and a
Notecards navigation section. all of which should branch out from the visitec
business page in the navigation structure. But now things seem to be so
different from my actual intended result I have no idea how to rework the
navigation so i get the same look on all pages as it is now and just fix the
navigation structure. How do i fix this?

you'll be in the deep weeds with this...much simpler to do it with something
other than FP's navigation bars
