Need 6 or 7 point fonts

I'm creating a form using a table and need a six or seven
point font but the smallest available seem to be eight
point. Is there any way to add small fonts on my Word
2002 software?

Hi there

Instead of clicking on the little arrow to get the dropdown list of
available font sizes, click on the number itself. It should become
highlighted, type the size you want and hit enter.
You can do this from the formatting toolbar or from the font dialog box. If
you are using that particular font size often, it migh be worth creating a
style.
Also, with this method you can enter half point size (e.g. 7.5 points) and
you can go as low as 1 (1 is the minimum point size and 1638 is the maximum,
which is equivalent to a 22 ¾-inch character.).

HTH
Cheers.

Yes. There are CD's available with nothing but different
styles of fonts and symbols on them, most of which cannot
be found in Microsoft Word programs. Each font has
different size limits, some down to the size you need. I
installed such a library years ago and have never had any
trouble with it. It incorporates itself with Word and
Outlook Express, or Express seemlessly. Also, they tend
to be rather inexpensive and can be found on the web or at
your favorite LARGE computer store.

Best of Luck,

Any TrueType font is infinitely scalable. The correct answer to this
question is that Word can use any scalable font in sizes from 1 point to
1,638 points, in half-point increments. To get a size not listed in the
dropdown, you have to type it in manually and press Enter.

Thank Suzanne for adding "press Enter" ... otherwise it just returns to the
original size.

This "extra" step was added in Word 97, to the confusion of all users of
previous versions.
