Need a "Current Date" column or value for filtering

I need to have a filter that exlcludes certain tasks if the finish date is
within 5 days of the current date. I tried various ways of defining this when
creating the filter such as "Finish equals Today +5d" but could not find a
way to add the comparison date of today +5 using a syntax that project would
recognize. So I decided to setup an Enterprise Date field called "Current +5"
that used the formula "=Date()+5". This worked great and the column contained
the correct date to compare. Then I was able to just compare the finish date
to my new "Current +5" enterprise date field and all was well - well except
for one big problem. If you wait a day and open the project plan the column
with the enterprise date field "Current +5" contained an old date until you
forced a recalculation. This means that if the project manager opens the
project plan and immediately runs the filter in order to do the reporting I
need done, the filter would be based on the wrong dates.

My question is do you have any idea how I might be able to create a reliable
filter that compares finish to todays date +5 days or how I can setup an
enterprise field similar to above but in a manner that would not require
recalculating for it to be up to date (literally when the plan was
initially opened?
