Need a Database... Will Pay (A Little)

Hi all. I need a database to manage my agency.

I run an agency where I supply Dancers to nightclubs around the Country.

I want a database that will have all my employees on record, and all my
venues on record.

I then want to be able to plan what employees will atttend what venues on
what dates.

I then want to be able to see who attended what venue on what date, and then
how much each venue owes me, and how much I owe each employee.

Not too difficult, but I had a go and couldn't work it out for the life of
me.

Any help, much appreciated, and I'm willing to pay by paypal.

Unfortunately, most professional developers would probably want more than "a
little" for what you're asking for. There's probably something off the
shelf that would do this (MS Outlook and MS Project spring to mind) - it
might be worth Googling a bit rather than trying to re-invent the wheel.

This post brings some interesting points into focus. If you back up and take
a look at this newsgroup from a distance, so to speak, what you see is a
large group of knowledgeable people having big problems trying to get Access
to work. Many of these people are not just casual users, but are developers
with customers. Even more troubling is the apparent inability to find
answers in a reference manual or online help system, which reduces them to
begging in the streets for help. Keith's observation that even an
experienced professional would have to charge a goodly sum of money to
develop a simple application for Shellie speaks volumes about the magnitude
of the task, or the unsuitablity of the tool, or both. There is some sort of
fundamental incongruity here that goes beyond the mere idiosyncrasies which
all languages exhibit. I feel like I'm trying to drive a battleship across
the desert. Despite all the features and power and organization, I'm just
not making much progress or learning any replicable skills.

In my experience, setting up an application that will "do the job" is the
easy bit, the time-consuming part is making it idiot-proof because you can't
assume that all users will do things in the order you expect them to.
Therefore, exhaustive testing and honing of the app is required which takes
time and, ultimately, money. And then there's the issue of security ...
more time/money if it's required.
