Need a formula to do the following:- Please help.

Appreciate any help on the following formula.

For interest I have done this buy formulizes on another sheet called cal and
do various steps to sort the requirement, then on my main sheet I reference
the cells. I make this a hidden sheet.

However I would like to know if it's possible to this my efficently.


I have data in column A not sorted and has duplicates in it.

I have data in column A which is occiated to colum A.

Colum A Column B
Nick 1
Steve 3
Nick 5
Etc.......

I would like too:
1) lookup column A find Nick and equals column B on same row.
2) Lookup column A for the next Nick and equal column B on same row and sums
result with previous result.
3) contiue until no more finds of Nick.

Use SUMIF
In say, C1: =SUMIF(A:A,"Nick",B:B)
