Need Advice for Office 2008 and Snow Leopard

Maria

I bought a new MacBook Pro (running 10.5.8) 3 weeks ago and installed
Office 2008 at that time. I have updated to Office 12.2.1. I now have
Snow Leopard ready to install. Are there any steps that I should take
before installing/ upgrading to Snow Leopard to avoid having problems
with my software, especially Office?

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, see this article. Read over the links suggested BEFORE upgrading.

Diane,
Thanks for the links! I'll read through them and post any additional
questions that come about.
I have everything backed up on a Time Capsule, so I'm covered on that
end. I've just always been overly cautious. It
took over a year to talk myself into upgrading to 10.5 on my last
MacBook.
Thanks,
Maria

Locate your previous custom dictionaries in the Finder, and open them in
Word.
Make a slight modification (add a space then remove it for instance) and
save again.

It could be a resurgence of an old bug where Word corrupts the files.
The procedure I indicated usually corrects that.
