Need advise: "docking" two shapes

Hello,
I need your advise what's the best way to "dock" two shapes together with
Visio 2003.

For example I have two simple square shapes. How can I connect them without
the use of a connector shape? When moving one shape the other should follow,
in fact both shapes should behave like one shape - but they shouldn't be
grouped.

Is it possible to have some connection points on each shape that are
connected together?

You need to edit te connection point type of the shapes in the shapesheet.
Set one to 1 and the other to 2, and you should find that they can then be
glued to each other.
