Need an expert on MS Word!

I installed word from an office 2000 CD a few weeks ago. I needed the
key, which I had, and it installed fine. The icon was a large mint
green "W". When I opened multiple documents in Word, each icon did NOT
show up on the Windows Toolbar. Lastly, when I pasted text into an
open word document, the font changed to what the font was in the open
word document (this is what I want to do)

The program got deleted and I installed it again today. I did not need
the key this time. The icon is a royal blue "W" with a blue order.
When I open multiple documents in Word, each icon DOES show up on the
Windows Toolbar. And when I paste text into an open word document, the
font does NOT change to what the font is in the open word document, it
defauls to Times New Roman.

What happened? How do I go back to either the Green W word, or just
the feature where the font of the pasted text changes to the font of
the text already in the document?

In word go to options, then go to the Edit tab, then
click the settings tab in the Cut and Paste section. I
think if you set it to default to word 2002 settings it
will paste the way you like it to. You can also paste by
clicking edit | paste special and I believe one of the
options is to paste with it original font or the font
within the document.
