Need another suggestion for recovering deleted items!

Running XP and Outlook 2003, not on exchange. I am helping someone try and
recover their deleted items. They Opened Mailbox clean up, found files older
than a certain date, and deleted. Then they deleted them from their deleted
items. We have tried to corrupt their .pst file, however after we corrupted
and ran SCANPST.exe, it did not find the delted items. Also downloaded a
third party product to to try. It did not find them either. They have in
fact restarted their machine several times since the delete was performed.
And from what they can tell me, they did NOT compact the .pst file. Any
other suggestions? Are the files actually gone?

Unless they have a back up of the pst, the items that were emptied from
deleted items folder are most likely gone.
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/recover_deleted.htm - its very difficult
to recover deleted items from a pst.
