I have a potential customer that has gone thru someone else that apparently
doesn't get around to doing his updates - and he wants to switch.... I need
this clarified in my head so was hoping someone could set me straight.
His domain name is registered on godaddy - and the person hosting his site
has done all the work for him - registered his name (so all contact info is
in their name I suppose) and apparently is a reseller too. So what I need to
know is that since his domain name doesn't expire till next June - what
would be the easiest way to switch his website over to my server?
Does he have to have the username/password for godaddy.com so that I can get
into his acct and redirect his dns or if I have the domain name transferred
to my registar (which is the way I want to go) if he's not listed as the
contact or admin in the personal info - would it still get transferred or
could the previous reseller stop the transfer?
thanks
