Need column in the 'Company' view for date.......

I am in the group benefits business and sell payroll-deducted benefits to
companys. Most company's have an annual start date that renew annually such
as 11/1 for Nov 1st.

It would be beneficial if I could create a column that would contain nothing
more than such an entry point where I could pull up, in advance, say, all
companies with a start date of February 1st. How do I create such a column?
It needs to be permanently marked for year to year.

Thanks in advance!

Hi

do you mean you want to make a new column in your Contacts folder? If so,
that's easy.

Show the Phone List or By Company View.
Use the Field Chooser (on the Advanced Toolbar) and click New Field
Make the new Field a Date/time field and give it a relevant name
Drag it off the Field CHooser to the table (drop it beside the COmpany field
for example.)
Sort by the Date field you just made to find the date range you want.

I hope that makes sense to you.
