Need community help on Project Web Access not saving status

Anthony

I have a 2 server setup of PRoject Server (DB and APP-WEB) Everything appears
to be working EXCEPT that tasks that are updated in Project Web Accesss are
not updating the Project.

Tasks update in Project Professional ARE working just fine.

I verified that the URL used in Project Professional is the same one sued
for Project Web Access

From the same Client computer I can connect to other Project Web Access
environments and this feature works.

Here is the full detail:
A user goes to Project Web Access and logs in. They update task percentages.
The updates are waiting to be approved by a project owner. The project owner
accepts the updates and applies the changes. It pops up a message box saying
how many tasks have been updated. Then it shows a preview of the plan in
Project Professional, only the preview does not reflect the changes made. You
then get an error saying it couldn't save the changes. If you go back into
Project Web Access it still has the changes you made hilighted in red as if
they were not committed. However, if you go into the same exact plan in
Project Professional and update the same tasks it will update properly.

Can anyone point me in a direction on this one? What's the difference
between how PWA and Project Professional updates the projects?

It would be helpful if you indicate if this used to work, or if this is a new
installation and it never worked.

If it never worked, you have your priveleges not set up right. Make sure
the Project Manager (project owner) is in the correct group with the correct
category. Make sure they have the appropriate rights for that project turned
on, especially "Save Project" and "Manage Task Changes", etc.

I assume you as the administrator can update the project? If yes, that
means the project owner's privs are set incorrectly.

If this doesn't answer your question, or if it doesn't work, please repost
your question since once someone answers a question, usually no one else will
look
at it. And, please note if it this is a new install or it just stopped
working...

Thanks...
