Hi,
I have a general question about limits in Word2000.
I have a VBA macro that creates 20 tables, each of which has 350 rows and 5
columns. The macro inserts preset values for 3 of the table columns. After
creating about 4 or 5 tables something happens that causes the macro to "get
lost" and no data is inserted (also processing slows down as shown by a
StatusBar display). The display shows that the macro is still running.
Screen Updating is turned off for the entire process. I created a "restart"
function by saving, closing and re-opening the document after 3 tables are
created (3 seems to be the "magic number" for complete processing without
problems). Under this scenario everything works fine and all the tables are
created.
I looked in the KB and I seem to be within Word2000 limits for a document
and for tables.
Is there a processing limit in Word 2000 having to do with some internal
buffering? I know I am well over 32K if you count all the characters and,
therefore, the buffer question.
If anyone can shed light on this it would be greatly appreciated as I really
would like to know what is happening.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
