In the document there are auto-numbered paragraphs (using an "outline"-type
numbering system which we call a scheme). What I want to do is have the
first auto-numbered paragraph number on each page captured in the header for
that page, all auto-updating as text is revised. For example, the first
numbered paragraph on p.1 is I(A)(1)(a); the next numbered paragraph is on
p.4 so pp.1-3 would all have I(A)(1)(a) in the header. The first numbered
paragraph on p.4 is I(A)(1)(b) and that should also go into the header.
P.5's first numbered paragraph is I(B) and that should go into the p.5
header. Etc. These documents often run 100 pages with a lot of paragraph
numbering. Does anyone know of a way to do this without manually typing in
each number (which won't automatically update) and without putting section
breaks all over the place? Your help is appreciated. Thanks.
