Need Help Asap With Exporting!

Hey guys, here is the deal. I have a computer that has a badly damaged
OS that I need to reformat. It has roughly a 1,000 contacts in outlook
that I need to save. The cdrom can't be used because of registry
issues.

When I try to export I get an error saying I need to install the engine
to do so, but I can't use my cd drive so outlook can't install the
engine. I have had this problem on other computers where it needed to
install the engine for it and even if it can read the cd it won't
install it.

Is there any other way to save those contacts before I format the
machine. Can I email the contact list to myself and then somehow
reinstall them from that email.

I am really lost how to save these contacts so I can just import them
after I reinstall windows!!

Thanks guys!

Why export anything at all? Just copy your PST file to whatever location you
were planning to export which I assume isn't on the drive that you're
planning to format. That way when you re-install Outlook - you can assign
this PST file as your default and not miss a heartbeat with anything that
you had (contacts, email etc).
