need help - can't get switchboard to come up after splash on start up

Help, please. I am new to this, but plugging along until
I hit this snag. (I have been using a MS Step by Step
book)I set up the splash screen and the start up options
so that the splash would come up when the program
started. That works fine, except then it doesn't go to
the switchboard. How do I get it to work so that the
users don't see the access workbook thing and cannot
change things they shouldn't. The MS book does a crappy
job of explaining this as I have followed its example. Am
I missing a macro or something? I appreciate any ideas
and suspect I am missing something simple....

Lynn,

If you're using the Step By Step book, there should be a companion CD. The
correct code is behind the Splash form in the folder:
....\Switchbrd\Startup\GardenCo.mdb

Make the splash as your startup form, and on close event open up your switch
board.
By pass all of the junk code behind popping up the switchboard and
minimizing the database window.

Open up splash, hide database windows. bring up the switch board.
