Need help deleting emails

I was cleaning up my inbox and deleting groups of emails when for no apparent
reason the delete quit working. Now if I select an email and hit the delete
button nothing happens. My inbox is filling up and I can no longer delete
unwanted emails.

If you right click on an item and choose Delete, what happens?

You should post your version of Outlook, your email environment (pop3,
exchange, etc.) and whether or not you're using a PST. That would help people
to determine your best course of action.

Have you emptied your Deleted Items folder lately?

I am using outlook express 6.0, pop3, win 98, and when i right click and
select delete "nothing" happens which is the same as if I hit the delete
button. The deleted items folder is empty.

You're in the wrong newsgroup. Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup.
