I am the IT Manager for our company. All but one of our users are
internal, so they access our MS Exchange 2007 server via Outlook, and
with the Exchange Server setting. However, I do have a user that is
located in another city and has to POP his email. I know he is using
Entourage on a Mac. (I don't have the specifics for model and version
right now. He isn't reachable at the moment.)
Anyway, he has been using the Entourage software for a couple of year,
and everything has been working fine. Now all of a sudden he cannot
receive his e-mail. One message he gets says his connection was
reset, the other says that the server may have too much traffic, or
may be down, which I know is not the case.
We have looked at his settings and they seem to be ok. I don't know
where to go from here. It's frustrating not being able to put my
hands on the computer, and also that it has worked in the past, but
doesn't work now.
If anyone has any ideas that I could try to diagnose the issue, I
would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for your help.
Scott
PS... It's also bad because the user is actually the OWNER of the
company!
