Need help for error message.

I get the following error message whenever the pc starts up:

"Settings file C:\PROGRAM FILES\COMMON FILES\MICROSOFT
SHARED\OFFICE10\FILES\SETUP\SETUP.INI is missing or invalid. Please
ensure this file exists and is accessible."

I am using Win98 and i've already reinstalled Office 2000 but didn't
fix the problem. Indeed the indicated file is missing but I'm sure I
didn't delete it manually. I ran Norton WinDoctor (repair all)
recently before the problem appeared but not sure if it caused the
problem.

Kindly help how to fix the problem. Thanks in advance.

Office 10 is Office XP, not 2000. Do you have any newer programs installed
from the XP line of products, such as Publisher 2002 or Visio 2002?

I did install Office Xp in the past but eventually uninstalled it few
days later after realizing it demands so much processing power. My pc
is a mere 500MHz with 64mb ram. Reinstalled back Office 2000 which I
find to be good enough for my tasks. I don't have other XP products as
you mentioned.

How can I get rid of the error message then?

Thanks for your reply.
