Need help getting sote answers sent to me

I used FP 2003 to create a form. You can see the form here:

http://home.comcast.net/~cadman_meg/AUGI/Feedback.htm

Anyhow, once a user fills out the provided info and then hits the "submit"
button, it is supposed to generate a form and then send it to an email
address. I gathered this from going into form properties and then filling
out the necessary info to do so as well as in the options tab. I do not
believe I did anything wrong. I could post what I have in there if it helps.
Just let me know. But I need to get this working ASAP, so any help any of
you can provide would be much appreciated.

For Front Page Forms to function, your site must be
hosted on a server that supports the Front Page Server
Extensions as the extensions do the work of processing
the form.

Additionally:

1. the server must be configured for email transport, and
2. you must publish your site from your PC to your host
using the "http" method. Using FTP, will "break" the
extensions and your form will not work.

Actually the Front Page Help is not too bad on the
subject of forms.

The new server should have the extensions part of it. So that shouldn't be a
problem. Does it sound like I have it set up correctly? How do I configure
for email transport? It looks like that is taken care of in the forms
properties dialog box. I typically do use an FTP to upload stuff, but I do
not mind using FP to upload the site. I have a number of files including
images, .js files, etc... So from that statement, are you stating that I
need to allow FrontPage to take control of this and create a FP site from it
all? What do you mean by the HTTP method? How do you do that? You lost me
there. Am always used to just uploading with an FTP. Thanks much for any
more you can provide.

Your host server either supports the FP Server Extensions or they don't

To find out see

If the do see

You have the save file for the form results pointing to your hard drive:
E:\Web\My Sites\AUGI\LUG-Form-Info

Open FrontPage, open your web, open the page, go to form properties and reselect the
results file.
Save
Publish.

You really need to get used to using Front Page help. Its
not too bad.

For instance, if you had opened Front Page help and
searched for either "pubish" or "http", you would have
the answer to several of your questions immediately
rather than having to wait for someone here to answer
your questions.

The Front Page Server Extensions reside on the server.
Email transposrt is a function of the Server software.
Some hosts will allow you to update these using a so-
called "control panel" on their website. Others require
that they do this for you. Contact your host to find out
how they work it.

Once you have used FTP to publish your site, the
Exentions are probably corrupted. They will have to be
reset. Should you ever use FTP in the future, the
Extensions will also become corrupt (and your forms will
stop working). Moral of the story: don't use FTP.

The "http" approach is quite simple (see Front Page
help). My very first attempt at using it worked. I was
working on a site for someone else who was hosted on a
server without the extensions and I could never get FTP
to work. Switched to another host with extensions, it
worked the first time.
