Need help moving diagram between documents

If anyone can help me, I would be most grateful. I created a diagram
(using Word 2000) which consists of several rectangular Autoshapes plus
text, lined up using tabs, with headings and arrows leading from text to
Autoshapes.

Now I want to use the diagram in other documents, but when I copy and
paste, elements jump into new positions. I tried grouping, creating an
autotext entry out of the diagram, and various paste options, nothing
seemed to work.

How can I preserve the diagram and use it in other documents, as
created? Thanks for any advice from a desperate new user.

If you can paste it into PowerPoint, then PP allows you to save individual
slides as image files (e.g. jpeg, ...) so then you can use it in other
documents more easily.

include details of your application and Windows versions, and whether
or not you have included any service pack updates.
