Dear Shane Devenshire

your formula works but there is some problem that as i am managing the sheet
for the month of feburary and the dates are in Row and your statement
SUM(--IF(MID(E1:E7,2,1)="p",LEFT(E1:E7)))+COUNTIF(E1:E7,"p") gives the total
no of presents (p) right but rights it as 17-jan(previous month with it).
hope you can tackle this also
