MSP 2002
My project contains a no of linked tasks (FtoS), all tasks
are Fixed work, effort driven. No constraints whatsoever.
The same three part-time resources are assigned to all
tasks.
Today one of the resources announced he will be home sick
for one week, he is not necessary for the tasks, ie the
other two may do his job. The sick guy's assignment is 90%
on all tasks.
I enter his abscence in either of two ways: non-working
time in his personal calender or Resource availability set
to 0 in the Resource Information dialog.
The result is that the other two resources stop working on
the task until the "sick guy" returns. This seems a little
odd, I feel they should continue on the current and coming
tasks and do as much work as possible until all resurces
are back. When levelling, the "Levelling can adjust
individual assignments" is checked.
I've searched the newsgroups but can't find any similar
problem description.
All help is appreciated.
